Overview

The Tirthan River inside Great Himalayan National Park buffer zone is one of India's few trout-fishing destinations. Brown and rainbow trout thrive in cold, clear water. Your guide handles the permit, sets up the rod, and teaches basic casting. Most trips are catch-and-release; some lodges will cook your catch for dinner if you book ahead.
